Linda Ziglar
Linda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Mercer University. She studied Watercolor under Ernie Stofko in Macon, Georgia. Linda has taught art in both public and private schools and was the Visual Arts Director at The First Academy in Orlando. Linda is the founder of The Art Room and teaches Oils and Watercolors as well as children's classes.

Allison Dyer
Allison is a graduate of the University of Florida and teaches Collage as well as many other classes. Allison is a founding member of the Winter Garden Art Association and exhibits her art work at the Winter Garden Gallery.

Maggie Ziglar
Maggie loves to teach children and teaches the Get Your Art On classes as well as conducting many of the Birthday and special event parties at The Art Room.

PJ Svejda
PJ is a professional painter specializing in portraiture and figures. She graduated with Bachelors degree in illustration and earned her Masters in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. PJ teaches drawing and painting to all levels in various medium although she primarily paints in oils for her own work.

Maria Barry
Born in England, Maria started her career in the Travel Industry, which eventually brought her to America. She combines her passion for travel and art by seasonally teaching classes on cruises ships to exotic places on sea days. Maria teaches watercolor classes and exhibits her artwork in many of Central Florida attractions.

Rowland Cooney
Rowland is a freelance sculpture and teaches sculpture in various mediums. He has won several awards from magazines, websites and conventions for his figurative sculptures. In addition to teaching, Rowland sculpts custom figures for his clients. He had designed classes in Figure Sculpture, Advanced Stop Motion, Duct Tape Art and Classical Japanese Art. Paula Haughey
Paula is a professional artist who sees the world through color. Paula specializes in still life and landscape paintings using oil and acrylic.
Born in Ireland, Paula is self-taught. She left a career in London as a television producer when she relocated to Orlando in 2011. Paula taught Art at Holy Family to students PK4 through 8th grade where she was Teacher of the Year in 2017. Paula has a passion for teaching and sharing her love of art. She has passed on her knowledge and experience to a multitude of children of all ages and continues to use her gift to spark creativity in children. Vera Lee Hobbs
Vera received a Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. After succeeding as a clothing designer with Jantzen Swimwear and Columbia Sportswear, she relocated to central Florida with her husband and two daughters. She found a home at The Art Room as Admin. Vera teaches our Homeschool Drawing Classes and helps with our Get Your Art On! Kids classes. With The Art Room’s sponsorship, she has brought new experiences to the kids on her mission trips to Nicaragua and Burundi, Africa from teaching drawing and painting classes. View VERA's Gallery |

Julie Green
Originally from Wales, United Kingdom, Julie completed a B.A. in humanities and received a post-graduate certificate in education from the University of Glamorgan in Pontypridd, Wales. Julie taught in elementary schools in Wales and London and also taught English as a second language.
In the summer of 2007, Julie retired to Florida, where she soon discovered The Art Room in Windermere. Julie began painting a beautiful collection of oil paintings. In 2014, Julie was introduced to mosaics at the Art Room, igniting yet another artistic passion and has since created countless mosaic 2D and 3D pieces. Julie loves sharing and teaching our adult mosaic classes.
