Let’s introduce you to each of our talented instructors.  Each one is an incredible artist on their own.  Each one has the gift of teaching.  And each one is excited to help you grow on your artistic journey!

Linda Ziglar

Linda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Mercer University. She studied Watercolor under Ernie Stofko in Macon, Georgia. Linda has taught art in both public and private schools and was the Visual Arts Director at The First Academy in Orlando. Linda is the founder of The Art Room and teaches Oils and Watercolors as well as children’s classes.

Allison Dyer

Allison is a graduate of the University of Florida. She teaches Adult Collage, Kid’s Mixed Media as well as our Adult Private Parties. Allison is so much fun! Allison is a founding member of the Winter Garden Art Association and exhibits her artwork at the Winter Garden Gallery.

PJ Svejda

PJ is a professional painter specializing in portraiture and figures. She graduated with Bachelors degree in illustration and earned her Masters in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. PJ teaches drawing and painting to all levels in various medium although she primarily paints in oils for her own work.

Maggie Ziglar

Maggie is a Florida, home grown, self-taught artist.  She loves to teach children of all ages.  Maggie teaches Saturday Kid’s Paint and the Mommy & Me classes.  She enjoys helping celebrate your child’s birthday and special event parties.  Everybody loves Mrs. Maggie!

Rowland Cooney

Rowland is a freelance sculptor and teaches sculpture in various mediums. He has won several awards from magazines, websites and conventions for his figurative sculptures. In addition to teaching, Rowland sculpts custom figures for his clients. He had designed classes in Figure Sculpture, Advanced Stop Motion, Duct Tape Art and Classical Japanese Art. Rowland teaches children sculpture classes and special workshops for adults.

Paula Haughey

Paula is a self-taught professional artist, born in Ireland. Paula has a passion for teaching and sharing her love of art with everyone.  She teaches our Kid’s Let’s Paint and Middle School Art classes.  She is also the Art Teacher at Holy Family to children PK4-8th grade where she was Teacher of the Year in 2017.  Paula loves passing her art knowledge on to spark creativity in children of all ages.  She loves children and helping them express themselves through art!

Vera Lee Hobbs

Vera received a Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.  After succeeding as a clothing designer with Jantzen Swimwear and Columbia Sportswear, she relocated to central Florida with her husband and two daughters.  She found a home at The Art Room as Admin.  Vera teaches our Homeschool Art Workshops, Kid’s Let’s Draw class and helps with Saturday Kid’s Paint and special events.  With The Art Room’s sponsorship, she has brought new art experiences to the kids on her mission trips to Nicaragua and Burundi, Africa.  She loves teaching kids of all ages!

Julie Green

Julie received her B.A. in Humanities and received a post-graduate certificate in education from The University of Glamorgan in Pontypridd, Wales.  Julie taught in elementary schools in Wales and London.  In the summer of 2007, Julie retired to Florida, where she soon discovered The Art Room.  Julie began painting a beautiful collection of oil paintings and then in 2014 she was introduced to Mosaic.  This ignited yet another artistic passion and she has since created countless mosaic 2D and 3D pieces.  Julie loves sharing and teaches our Adult Mosaic classes.

Anastasia Spring

Anastasia Spring is a graduate of Saint Petersburg State University. She’s a self-taught artist, furniture painter/DIY’er, and works as a social media manager at the Art Room.
